There are many areas in our lives where we can save money. But when it comes to the investment in our homes, it is worth paying for quality materials and a skilled contractor. It is often tempting to focus more on the bottom line than how enduring the end result will be.
As an experienced contractor, I do not believe in taking the quick and easy route. I've learned that putting time, effort, and care into a project always leads to an enduring result, not something that falls apart in a few years.
Any home renovation or new construction project will be disruptive to the normal home atmosphere. I realize this, and I realize the frustration this can cause during the project. This is why I never leave a site in disarray overnight. Existing structures and furniture will be sealed and protected, and the job site will be swept clean each day.
